Throughout Europe, a growing number of industry leaders are using physical board game-style simulations to accelerate leadership development and strategic transformations. Inspired by the Prussian army’s tradition of Kriegsspiel the simulations provide a unique way of training leaders to make sound decisions in situations of high complexity.
One example is the leadership simulation Wallbreakers®, which has been used by more than 30,000 leaders worldwide to sharpen essential change management skills. The simulation is used in addition to MBA programs and business schools in Europe. For more information, please visit www.workz.dk/wallbreakers.
The seminar is a collaboration between Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Serious Games Association and the Copenhagen-based change agency Workz. The presenter and facilitator is Ask Agger, CEO of Workz and thought leader on gamification and organizational change with 18 years of experience as a consultant to companies such as Maersk, Novo Nordisk and ISS. The open workshop and certification seminar is a pre-conference event for the 2016 International Serious Play Conference (www.seriousplayconf.com).
The seminar has two parts:
